This Thursday is Go Night and Liam will be showing us a few things about the game of Go. If you would like to learn a bit about the game before hand, I urge you to check out the nice wiki article on it here.

Our trip to the Ronald McDonald House in Durham on Saturday was a great success! We had a nice sized group go and were able to play games with some of the patients of the Duke Children’s Hospital and their families.

Also, we had a great night this evening with the Scholars Club! Our joint event brought in about thirty people to enjoy free pizza and drinks and play board games at Sullivan Hall. Thanks for planning it Josh!

Thanks to Google Docs, we now have our gaming library posted on the site, and it is always up to date. Be sure to hit the link up top to see it in action, and to plan your next geek-fest with the stuff you want to check out.

We’ve added a lot of things to our calendar in the past week, but many of these things are tentative, especially the conventions we’ve talked about attending.

Most important stuff coming up, in chronological order:

• DnD / Mage Night next Thursday night. This is for beginners, so don’t be afraid to come learn how to play a role playing game.
• Next Saturday, we are taking a trip to the Ronald McDonald House in Durham to play board games with the kids. It will take place from 2pm to 6pm, maybe we’ll get dinner afterwards. Keep your schedules free, and at our meeting next Thursday we’ll setup our car pool.
• The following Thursday is Board Game Night with Scholars Club. It will be inside Sullivan Classroom, in the Sullivan Dormitory, which is on Sullivan Drive. Whew. 7pm, bring whatever games you own that we don’t.

We have a new website for a new year. With the release of the new website for the Collegiate Association of Table Top Gamers, we’ve been able to start this site more easily, which was easy to setup and will be easier to maintain. Be sure to check out the whole site. And if you’re new, check the schedule to come to our next meeting!

Also, be sure to check out our forums. CATTG graciously supplies us with private forums, but we don’t use them. They’re a great way to keep in contact with gamers with similar interests and to have discussions on what we do and how we do it. Sign up!
